When opening the financial statements or audit programs (CaseView documents), you may get an error that the required scripts cannot be found or are missing.
Certain functions like formatting of Annual Financial Statements or adding directors details, run certain scripts in the background that are required to perform these functions. These Scripts are installed into the CaseWare directory when the CQS master templates are installed.
In some instances, the error message appears when a specific script cannot be found in the CaseWare directory and this may be because:
- The templates were not installed on the user’s machine,
- The anti-virus was not disabled during installation and it blocked these scripts from installing or;
- The files were copied from another user’s machine without copying the scripts folder.
To solve this problem:
Re-install the templates from the CD on that particular computer with the anti-virus disabled.
